I tried posting this blog so many times yesterday...
So we all know how much I love my iPhone, iPad and iPod. When we decided to a new "i" to the mix I thought I would love it too but I think I might end up hating it.
We went mattress shopping last weekend with no budget in mind. We have been sleeping on a mattress that is at least 15-20 years old. Chuck and I both would wake up every morning with so many aches, toss and turn all night and virtually feel like we never slept. There was one spring that was lose and would poke me in the same spot on my shoulder every night. We didn't realize how much of a difference our mattress was making in our lives but it was making us two very miserable people because we never got any sleep.
We grabbed the purse and off to sears we went. Camden was perfect at trying out the mattresses because he was asleep the entire time. I did not wear the correct mattress trying out outfit. I wore a sundress so it was a big event at each mattress I wanted to try out because Chuck would have to stand in front of me. I really didn't think that outfit of the day out very well.
Soon we were greeted by Dave who was a tremendous help. We sent him after out the door prices and delivery dates on so many mattress sets. Chuck asked to try out a memory foam mattress because he had never laid on one before. He laid on a Tempurpedic mattress that was well over $5000 and hated it. He said it was awful. I had laid on my sister's many times and I know she just got rid of hers after paying a pretty penny for it. That's when Chuck made his way to the iComfort mattress. It is a memory foam mattress but it address many issues that the original Tempurpedic had like the fact that the mattress would always be hot. The iComfort has all kinds of fancy things including layers of iCooling action memory foam something or another. It was hard for me to pick out a mattress because I thought they were all great compared to what we had at home so I gave Chuck the final say so.
We ended up with the iComfort as you can probably guess. We got a great deal because they forgot to take down the labor day sale price so they honored it. Then we always got the current promotion which was two free pillows valued at $139 a piece.
The mattress came yesterday and we slept on it last night for the first time. The nice mattress sales man, Dave did tell me that it usually takes two weeks to get use to a new mattress. Chuck woke up saying he felt great, loved the mattress and hasn't gotten such great sleep since he can ever remember. I'm still not sure how I feel. I know I didn't feel all those things that Chuck did but I hope I do soon. He said that if I decide it isn't going to be a good fit then we can take it back and get a different one but I really don't want to be that wife. Who would want to rob their husband of the best sleep of his life?? So we shall see where I stand(or lay) with this mattress in the next few weeks. Wish me luck!!!
I am always searching online for articles that can help me. There is obviously a lot to know about this. I think you made some good points in Features also. Keep working, great job!
